Etsy Shop Inspector is a free Chrome extension for Etsy product research. It shows shop sales, shop age, reviews, a niche report, keyword ideas, listing tags, and a daily sales tracker, right on the Etsy pages you already browse. No API key, no account, and no signup.

What Etsy Shop Inspector v4 Does
Most Etsy research tools make you copy keywords into a separate website. This extension works inside Etsy. Search for any product and you see stats under every result. Open a listing and you see its tags. Open a shop and you get a quick shop analysis.
Features on Etsy Search and Category Pages
- Stats under every product: NEW or OLD shop badge, shop rating, reviews, sales, shop age, and item count.
- Shops tab: sort results by shop sales, newest shop, shop rating, item reviews, or price. Filter by minimum sales, maximum shop age, minimum rating, or NEW shops only. Highlight NEW shops and export everything to CSV.
- Niche tab: an opportunity score out of 100, number of results, ads, Bestseller and “Popular now” badges, average item reviews, average and median price, price range, share of digital downloads, and how many NEW shops already sell in the niche.
- Keywords tab: Etsy search suggestions for your keyword, long-tail ideas from A to Z, the top 1, 2 and 3-word phrases in the titles on the page, the most-used tags of the top 12 listings, related searches, copy buttons, and CSV export.

- Shop tab: rating, reviews, sales, shop age, listings, review rate, and location.
- Listing SEO tab: the listing’s tags (up to 13) with “Copy all”, which tags also appear in the title, title length out of 140, price, listed date and age, item reviews, favorites, “in baskets”, “bought in last 24h”, and badges.
- Track sales button to follow any shop.

- Shop tab with all shop stats and the Track sales button.
- Shop analysis tab: sections with item counts, price range, median price, and a rough revenue estimate (sales times median price).
The Toolbar Popup
- Home: the last shop you viewed and a quick how-to.
- Keywords: type any seed keyword to get suggestions and a long-tail list, then export to CSV.
- Tracker: your tracked shops with total sales, sales in the last day, the last 7 days, and per day. Add a shop by name or update all at once.
- Settings: turn stats on search pages on or off, highlight NEW shops, and choose what “NEW” means (3, 6, 12 or 24 months).
How to Install Etsy Shop Inspector v4
The extension installs as an unpacked extension in Chrome. It takes about a minute:
- Download the ZIP file using the button above.
- Unzip it on your computer.
- Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome and turn on Developer mode (top right). - If you have an older version of Etsy Shop Inspector, remove it first.
- Click Load unpacked and choose the
etsy-shop-inspectorfolder. - Pin the orange icon, then search anything on Etsy.
Privacy and How It Works
- Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to any outside server run by us.
- Uses only Chrome’s storage permission, plus access to Etsy pages and Google search suggestions (used only when Etsy has no suggestions).
- Reads only 2 shop pages at a time, and only for products you scroll near. If Etsy asks to slow down, it pauses and continues by itself.
- Saves shop data for 24 hours so shops you have already seen load instantly.
Good to Know
- Shop age is approximate, because Etsy shows only the year a shop opened. It is marked with “~”.
- Etsy shows only a shop’s total sales, so the tracker saves that total about once a day and shows the difference. Daily numbers appear after the first day of tracking.
- Revenue is a rough estimate, not real income.
- Etsy sometimes changes its pages. If something stops showing, contact us with a screenshot so it can be updated.

Is Etsy Shop Inspector free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no account, no API key, and no paid plan.
Is it on the Chrome Web Store?
Not at the moment. You install it from the ZIP file with Chrome’s “Load unpacked” option, as shown in the install steps above.
Can it show exact Etsy sales and revenue?
It shows the total sales number that Etsy displays for each shop. The daily tracker works out sales from changes in that total, and revenue is only a rough estimate based on sales and median price.
Does it work in other browsers?
It is built for Google Chrome. Other Chromium browsers that support unpacked extensions may work, but they are not officially tested.
Is it made by Etsy?
