Etsy Fee Calculator FAQ

How much does Etsy take from a $25 sale?

For a US seller with no ads, Etsy takes about $2.83 from a $25 sale with no shipping charge. That is a $0.20 listing fee, a $1.63 transaction fee, and a $1.00 processing fee. You keep about $22.17.

Does the calculator include the shop setup fee?

No. The setup fee is a one-time charge when you open your shop, not a fee on each sale. It varies by location.

Why can my real fee be a few cents different?

Etsy charges payment processing on the full order total, including any sales tax the buyer pays. This calculator leaves tax out, so the real processing fee can be slightly higher.

Does it work for sellers outside the US?

The processing rate here is the US rate of 3% + $0.25. Etsy’s processing fees vary by country, so sellers elsewhere should check Etsy’s processing fee page.
