No. Etsy does not offer a public way to check, so the tool links each name to etsy.com/shop/name. If a shop opens there, the name is taken. Etsy also tells you during setup if a name is unavailable.

Etsy shop names can be 4 to 20 characters long, with no spaces or punctuation.
Can I change my Etsy shop name later?
Yes. After your shop opens, you can change it up to 5 times in your shop settings. More changes need approval from Etsy Support.
